Garden work wagon
A wheelbarrow suitable for garden work. Was designed for Keter Plastic, a company engaged in producing and marketing plastic products. The company is one of the largest in plastic product manufacturers in Israel and markets its products all over the world.
The goal of the project was to create a plastic-injected wheelbarrow adapted to work in the garden. It is intended for the transportation of trimmings and leaves and must also be adapted to the feminine and elderly user groups. The wheelbarrow should be easy to carry and operate. The research in the project was significant and touched on several areas - user research, we examined the different uses of wheelbarrows, what similar products exist and how they are used. We experimented with the assembly and use of competing products. We conducted a structural study of various types of wheelbarrows and similar products analyzing the reasons behind their engineering and structure.
The structure of the wheelbarrow in the form of a wheel loader’s bucket allows the wheelbarrow to be pushed towards a pile of trimmings and fill the wheelbarrow at once with many leaves and branches. Since the wheelbarrow was also set for elderly users, the idea of quick filling, without the need to bend over repeatedly was particularly desirable.
